Potential Options on the Roster

The first step the Buffalo Bills will do is see if the options is already on the roster. The depth at cornerback was tested last year and the team went out and added Josh Norman, E.J. Gaines as well as drafted Dane Jackson in the seventh round of the NFL Draft.

The team already knows they will be without E.J. Gaines, who elected to opt out of the upcoming season, but went out and added Akeem King to replace him. The one player that could potentially step in to White’s role is Josh Norman. At one time, Norman was considered one of the best cornerbacks in the NFL while playing in Sean McDermott‘s defense.

Unfortunately, this was back in 2015 and since that time Norman has struggled to replicate that production while with Washington. In addition, the coaching staff won’t have the luxury of seeing Norman in live game action with no preseason games this year.

Even if the coaching staff believes Norman will bounce back, they will still add another cornerback or two for depth purposes and will have plenty of options.
