Buffalo Bills: Takeaways from the team reportedly signing Brian Winters
Jon Feliciano may need to earn his starting job back
For the first time in his career, Jon Feliciano was a full-time starter after four years with the Raiders that he had eight starts over that stretch. The injury couldn’t come at a worse time as Feliciano was entering the final year of his contract and another good year could have resulted in a big free agent deal.
The addition of Brian Winters now gives the Buffalo Bills a plug and play starter, who has extensive experience with 79 career starts. This also means that when Feliciano returns from his injury, the starting job may not be given back to him.
If the Buffalo Bills offensive line performs well to start the year, the coaching staff may be hesitant to make the switch back to Feliciano, even though the offensive line played well last year.
