Spencer Long

In an offseason that has had no on-field practices, the Buffalo Bills could look at a player like Spencer Long. He joined the Buffalo Bills last offseason as one of those pieces the team added as they tried to fix their offensive line. Prior to joining the Bills, Long started his career playing four seasons with Washington and one season with the New York Jets.

A year in the Buffalo Bills system, as a key backup, should give Long the edge at the position to win the starting job. He also has starting experience with 44 career starts in his first four seasons in the league, however they were all at center and not right guard.

The benefit from inserting Long into the starting lineup is that the Buffalo Bills could have the benefit of keeping Cody Ford at right tackle and only have one new starter along the offensive line instead of two.
