When training camp rolls around, the Buffalo Bills will have a kicking battle
For the first time during his Buffalo Bills career, Stephen Hauschka has a kicking battle on his hands, with the team selecting Tyler Bass in the sixth round this year.
Hauschka had his fair share of struggles last season, especially on long kicks, leading the Bills to selecting the rocket-leg kicker in Bass. At punter there is yet again another competition, between Corey Bojorquez and Kaare Vedvik which should provide some entertainment in training camp.
With both kicking spots on the roster being up for grabs this training camp should provide some entertaining battles at a position that is usually overlooked.
Reid Ferguson will remain as the teams long snapper as Buffalo didn’t bring in anybody to compete with him, Ferguson is one of the best in the game and is always reliable. Ferguson has a lot of chemistry with Bojorquez and that could play a part in them keeping the tandem together in this shortened offseason.
The Bills coaching staff will have some crucial decisions to make during training camp with skill positions, but a position under the radar such as kicker/punter might take the cake as one of the most crucial battles in camp.
