The Buffalo Bills added depth at defensive tackle this offseason but also has versatility that is some of the best in the league.

The Buffalo Bills lost the sack leader of their defense in Jordan Phillips who put up a career high 9.5 sacks. However, they replaced Phillips with two signings who could replace or supersede the quality of play that they had on the field.

General manager Brandon Beane went out and added Quinton Jefferson and Vernon Butler, two players who were integral parts of their respective teams last season. Jefferson was the best interior player on Seattle, while Butler enjoyed a career year with Carolina.

Ed Oliver comes into his second season with high hopes both in the organization and among fans. With Jordan Phillips now gone, Oliver will have free reigns to the 3-technique position and should take on a bigger role.

Star Lotulelei steps back in as the incumbent at the one-technique, while Harrison Phillips returns from his torn ACL suffered in week 3, which kept him out for the rest of the season. While Vincent Taylor offers depth after he was claimed by the Bills during the 2019 season.

Boasting the most depth they’ve had at the position in years, with some of the players on the interior having the versatility to play multiple positions.
