Buffalo Bills: 7 players team may cut to get roster down to 80 players
Ray-Ray McCloud
Ray-Ray McCloud was a sixth round pick by the Buffalo Bills in 2018 and saw some time as a rookie at wide receiver and also as a punt returner. However, prior to the 2019 season McCloud was one of the final cuts for the Buffalo Bills.
He was then claimed by the Carolina Panthers but was waived midway through the year and finished the season on the Bills practice squad. In his career, McCloud has five receptions for 36 yards, two rushes for four yards and 14 punt returns for 102 yards.
The depth at wide receiver is rather incredible and the Buffalo Bills are going to have some tough decisions to make. However, McCloud likely will not be a part of that discussion. He brings a similar skill set to what Isaiah McKenzie is able to do on jet sweeps and out of the backfield, as well as at wide receiver. It wouldn’t make sense for the team to carry both into the season and McCloud is likely the odd man out.
