What do the Buffalo Bills do with Cody Ford?

Last year, Cody Ford split time with Ty Nsekhe at right tackle until Nsekhe suffered an injury that forced him to miss time. Ford became the primary right tackle and all things considered, did a decent job as a rookie.

While Ford was the starting right tackle, there is a belief that he could be a much better guard in the NFL. If Daryl Williams performs well and surpasses Cody Ford for the starting job, does that mean the coaching staff now moves Ford inside to guard?

If Daryl Williams were to win the starting right tackle position, it almost certainly would cause a domino effect down the offensive line. The Buffalo Bills did re-sign Quinton Spain, however the left guard is much better in pass protection than run blocking, which is something that Ford would likely excel in.

The other option would be at right guard where Jon Feliciano currently starts. Feliciano is a little more well-rounded and gets the job done both in pass protection as well as on run plays. There is also something to be said about switching to the left side and playing right guard could be an easier transition for Cody Ford.

It will certainly be interesting to see how training camp unfolds and if the coaching staff elects to stick with their starting five or if Daryl Williams wins the starting job and what additional moves comes from that.
