Buffalo Bills: 4 players who could be surprise starters this coming season
These are four players that could have strong training camp and be starters for the Buffalo Bills when the season opens.
There is no question that most movement around the depth chart occurs during training camp and the preseason. Over the years, the Buffalo Bills have had a few surprises of players who were not expected to be starters entering camp who ultimately won the job.
Last year, one of those players was Frank Gore who was expected to be the backup to LeSean McCoy. However, the Bills felt confident in what they saw in Gore but also Devin Singletary and released their starter right before the start of the season.
This year, there could be more than a few surprises due in large part to the changes in offseason workouts due to the pandemic. While there is always surprises, the coaching staff typically enters training camp with a good idea of what their team is going to look like entering the season.
However, this year the coaching staff has not had a chance to get all their players together on the practice field and any preparation has been done virtually. Considering that fact, these are four players that may not enter training camp as the starter but could end in that role when the Buffalo Bills take the field Week 1 against the New York Jets.
