These are the top three questions at tight end for the Buffalo Bills entering training camp.

Last offseason, the Buffalo Bills made almost sweeping changes at the tight end position with the free agent signing of Tyler Kroft as well as drafting Dawson Knox and Tommy Sweeney in the NFL Draft. While the season didn’t necessarily go as planned, this group showed promise over the course of the year.

This time last year, the Bills already knew they were going to be without Tyler Kroft for training camp as he suffered a broken foot during OTAs but then the position was hit even hard with injuries during camp as Dawson Knox and Jason Croom missed extended time due to injuries.

While it was unfortunate to be without these three tight ends, it did give a player like Tommy Sweeney extended playing time that helped him earn a spot on the 53-man roster. The good news was that as players like Knox and Kroft returned from injury, it was evident that this was a position that had great depth.

This offseason the Buffalo Bills are going into training camp with essentially the same group they had last year but that doesn’t mean there isn’t questions. These are the top questions the Buffalo Bills coaching staff likely has about the tight end position.
