Buffalo Bills: 3 questions at running back entering training camp
These are the top three questions for the Buffalo Bills entering training camp at running back.
This time last year the running back position was expected to be led by veterans LeSean McCoy and Frank Gore while their third round pick Devin Singletary was to be the future for the Buffalo Bills. The future came much quicker as the Bills released McCoy prior to the season and over the course of the season Singletary took carries away from Gore.
This offseason the Buffalo Bills elected to not bring back Frank Gore and instead used another third round pick on a running back, this time selecting Zack Moss out of the University of Utah. The rookie is now expected to play a role in this offense alongside Singletary.
After the top two backs, the Bills have depth with running backs like T.J. Yeldon, preseason star Christian Wade, special teams ace Taiwan Jones and undrafted rookie Antonio Williams. The front office has done a good job of bringing together a group of running backs that bring different skill sets and have good upside.
