These are the six most important players to the Buffalo Bills this coming season that they can’t afford to lose.

The expectations are the highest they have been for the Buffalo Bills in some time. They have gotten to the playoffs twice now in the past three years but this year their sights should be set on winning the AFC East and winning a playoff game, something they haven’t done since 1995.

The Bills are entering the season in great position to achieve both and they even recently were ranked to have one of the most complete rosters in the NFL. However, this doesn’t mean its a perfect roster and there is some potential positions that could drastically change the outlook of the season if the Bills were to lose a starter at these positions.

These are the six most important players that the Buffalo Bills can’t afford to lose this coming season.

6. Tre’Davious White

The rankings start with one of the best cornerbacks in the league in Tre’Davious White. The former first round pick had a breakout year last season with six interceptions, tied for the league lead.

There is no question that when White is on the field the Bills defense is better for it. The ability he possesses allows the coaching staff to shift coverage in other areas knowing that White doesn’t necessarily need the extra help.

While White is one of the better players on the Buffalo Bills, the team is better equipped to handle the loss if he wasn’t on the field in comparison to some of the other players. One of the reasons is that the defense Sean McDermott runs doesn’t put as much emphasis on cornerbacks.

They also have some depth here if the need were to arise to replace Tre’Davious White as they have added Josh Norman and E.J. Gaines, two players who have proven they can play well in this defense.

If the Bills were to loss Tre’Davious White, it certainly wouldn’t be great but they have options as replacements.
