Offseason Changes
Key Additions: Cam Akers, Van Jefferson, Leonard Floyd, A’Shawn Robinson
Key Losses: Dante Fowler Jr., Cory Littleton, Todd Gurley, Greg Zuerlein, Clay Matthews, Brandin Cooks
The Los Angeles Rams had to make some tough decisions this offseason as they were limited in cap space and saw players like Dante Fowler Jr., Cory Littleton and Todd Gurley leave the franchise. They also traded wide receiver Brandin Cooks to the Houston Texans to free up some cap space.
The Rams did add Leonard Floyd and A’Shawn Robinson in free agency, along with re-signing left tackle Andrew Whitworth which was probably their best move this offseason.
Instead of filling their holes in free agency, they tried to address their needs through the NFL Draft. They focused primarily on the offense as they selected running back Cam Akers and Van Jefferson in the second round. These were their top two picks as the Rams had already traded their first round pick away in the Jalen Ramsey trade.
