The Buffalo Bills had two players make NFL.com’s team which was named ‘best NFL team money can buy under the 2020 salary cap’.

The Buffalo Bills have done a good job drafting since head coach Sean McDermott and general manager Brandon Beane joined the franchise and with that comes some bargains, or players who provide more value than what their current salary reflects.

This is why it wasn’t much of a surprise to see two players currently on the Bills who were picked to the best team money can buy while staying under the 2020 salary cap. The team was put together by Anthony Holzman-Escareno at NFL.com.

The first player on the team, who was actually named as a starter, is cornerback Tre’Davious White. The fourth-year cornerback had a breakout year last season for the Bills, including six interceptions which was tied for the league lead. He also made his first Pro Bowl and had his first selection as a first-team All-Pro.

"Tre’Davious White is finally garnering the respect he deserves coming off his first All-Pro selection in 2019. He’s a top-five player at the position with a cap hit outside of the top 50."

However, White may not be as much of a bargain in the coming years as the Bills picked up his fifth-year option this offseason. He will likely be in line for a major contract that could pay him as one of the top cornerbacks in the next few years.

The other player that joined White on this team is linebacker Matt Milano, who was picked as a backup on this team. On the Bills, he is the starting linebacker alongside Tremaine Edmunds, and had his best season in the NFL this past year. He finished 2019 with 101 total tackles and nine passes defended, both career highs.

"Jayon Brown and Matt Milano’s coverage ability, low cost and special teams experience earned them spots on this roster, despite their limitations against the run."

Similar to White, the Bills linebacker is in line for a big pay increase and could come in the form of an extension this offseason from the Buffalo Bills. If the two sides are not able to reach an agreement, then he will likely hit free agency next offseason.
