2020 Outlook

The former Buffalo Bills third round pick has received his fair share of praise this offseason from media outlets and even his teammates.

John Brown went out of his way to praise Knox and expects him to “outbreak player” for the Bills this season. The young tight end seemed encouraged and humbled by the praise in this interview by Dan Fetes:

With the addition of Stefon Diggs, the Buffalo Bills offense will be more explosive than last season and could allow Knox to find himself more space on the field.

Defenses will now have to focus on the Bills top three receivers more than last year, with Brown as the second wide receiver and Beasley once again in the slot. This could create opportunities for Knox, which could present opportunities for big plays by the tight end.

Knox was a quarterback all through high school and entered college as a walk on at tight end (a position he never played before) and was too raw to play his first season. With progress he turned into a reliable target for Ole Miss but never produced greatly. Now with three years at tight end, including one in the NFL where he showed great flashes, there’s no disputing that the tight end will see an improvement in 2020.
