Tremaine Edmunds

The Buffalo Bills drafted Tremaine Edmunds in the second round of the 2018 NFL Draft. Edmunds was seen by many as a steal and has been starting since his rookie year.

The linebacker out of Virignia Tech has aided Buffalo’s linebacking corps alongside fellow youngster Matt Milano. However, with the retirement of Lorenzo Alexander, there is much more responsibility on Edmunds this year than these past two seasons.

In 2019, Edmunds actually earned his first Pro Bowl nod as a replacement for Dont’a Hightower. In 2020, Edmunds will look to earn the honors on his own merit as he is already known as one of the best up-and-coming defenders in the NFL.

Tremaine Edmunds is best described as a tackling machine. The has amassed over 100 total tackles in each of his first two years in the league and already has three interceptions to his name. Edmunds is a key part of the Bills run defense. If he stays healthy all season, could become the NFL’s premier linebacker.

Edmunds will also likely be the most productive of his linebacking counterparts. Matt Milano has been solid when healthy, but often finds himself injured. A.J. Klein was brought in during 2020 free agency. Klein was a mainstay with the Panthers and Saints and has managed to stick around for seven seasons. However his numbers are less than adequate and it will be up to Edmunds to shore up the Bills linebacking group, and he will likely be up to the task
