Colin Jones

Another former Carolina Panthers player the Buffalo Bills should consider would be safety Colin Jones. He spent the past eight seasons with the team, playing under Sean McDermott for five of them.

While he is listed as a safety, the Panthers did try him out at the nickel position and has some versatility the team could utilize. Where he provides the most value though is on special teams and could be another key contributor on the coverage team. This past season Jones led the Panthers in special teams tackles with nine.

The primary reason the Bills would want to add Jones is that special teams experience but is another player that could contribute on defense if the need arose. The fact that he spent as much time in Sean McDermott’s defense as he has would make for a smooth transition if he were to join the Bills.
