Damon Harrison

The Buffalo Bills added two defensive tackles in free agency with Quinton Jefferson and Vernon Butler and also have Harrison Phillips returning from a season-ending injury last year. However, outside of maybe Phillips, the Bills don’t have that big-body defensive tackle to challenge Star Lotulelei.

This is why a player like Damon Harrison is interesting, because he not only will challenge Lotulelei, he has the talent to take the starting job. Harrison spent the past year and half with the Detroit Lions but prior to that was with the Giants and Jets. He has been one of the top defensive tackles, and even was recently named the 56th best player of the past decade by Pro Football Focus.

However, his time with the Lions hurt his value and he is the first to admit that he didn’t want to be in Detroit. A place like Buffalo, in the middle of this talented defense, could be enough to give him a renewed passion and play at the level he did with the Giants.
