Completion Percentage
This may not be a significant stat because the Buffalo Bills secondary does a good job in other areas to limit the impact of this stat. This past season, opposing quarterbacks completed 62.9% of passes against the Bills, which ranked 15th in the league.
However, when players caught the pass they were brought down almost immediately and the Bills finished second in yards allowed per catch at 9.8 yards. They were one of only two teams to keep opposing offenses under 10 yards.
This is something that is probably going to be the responsibility of the defensive line as previously mentioned. The more pressure they can get on opposing quarterbacks, and make sure they aren’t throwing from a clean pocket, should help increase errant passes and more uncatchable balls.
