Sean McDermott moves to third all-time in wins as a head coach

This milestone is certainly going to be tougher than some of the other ones because for Sean McDermott to reach third all-time in franchise history in wins, the Buffalo Bills will need to win 12 games this year. The last time the Bills won 12 games was 1993.

Sean McDermott currently is fifth in franchise history with 25 wins in 48 games. He is behind Wade Phillips who had four more wins than McDermott but was able to do it in the same number of games.

If McDermott does get 12 wins this season, he will be tied with Chuck Knox who had 37 wins as head coach from 1978 to 1982. Similar to Josh Allen and his milestone in QB wins, once McDermott passes Knox it is a long way to catch the first and second person in franchise history in this category. At the top is Marv Levy, who has 112 wins in his career with the Bills, and Lou Saban, who has 68 wins.
