Above Average Combine Performers

Dawson Knox (59th Percentile)

Dawson Knox is a rare example of a high Bills pick who didn’t have a lot of college production, only playing two full seasons combining for just over 600 receiving yards. Knox was taken mostly in regards to his raw skill. Knox didn’t run in the 40 yard-dash where he most likely would have posted a solid number, but participated in four other drills where he was in the top third percentile in three out of four.

With the lowest being in the bench press with 16 reps but Knox showed he has the athleticism to be an enticing prospect. Knox was much more a measurables player when he was drafted, he stood at 6’4″ 254 pounds and had the athleticism to stretch the field. Knox is one of the fair situations where the Buffalo Bills took a player based off simply measurables and traits alone.
