Still need youth at defensive end

The Buffalo Bills did invest in the defensive end position this offseason with the signing of Mario Addison and using a second round pick on A.J. Epenesa. However, Addison, along with Jerry Hughes and Trent Murphy will be 30 years of age or older by seasons end, and the team could use another young pass rusher for this defense.

Another reason it makes sense for the Bills to pursue Ngakoue is that he is a very different defensive end than A.J. Epenesa. The strength of Epenesa’s game is really more so against the run than getting after the quarterback, even though he did have 26.5 sacks in college.

Yannick Ngakoue is much more explosive and would be more of a speed rusher to balance the power that Epenesa brings on the other side. If the Buffalo Bills were to make a trade for the Jaguars defensive end they would essentially have this position solidified for the next four to five years with this duo.
