Week 12 – Bills OTs vs. Chargers edge rushers

Coming off a bye week, the Bills face a sure challenge against a strong LA Chargers team. Although the Chargers have struggled to stay healthy through the years, they still have one of the best rosters in the league, even when replacing Phillip Rivers with Justin Herbert.

The biggest concern for the Bills in Week 12 will be neutralizing the edge rush from both Joey Bosa and Melvin Ingram. It will be a tough game for Dion Dawkins and Cody Ford if they don’t get any help, so expect Lee Smith, Dawson Knox and the running backs to play a larger role in pass protection this week.

In addition putting pressure on opposing QBs, the Chargers also have a great secondary led by Derwin James, Casey Hayward, and newly added Chris Harris Jr. The solution on offense in Week 12 for the Bills appears to be a lot of running between the tackles and play-action shots down the field. This will force the Chargers rookie linebacker Kenneth Murray to rely heavily on his instincts and play recognition skills. Expect a big game from Zack Moss and a steady dose of leak out play action passes to Dawson Knox if the Buffalo Bills want to capitalize in this matchup.
