In a recent interview with TMZ Sports, Josh Norman believes he is bound for a bounce back year reuniting with Sean McDermott on the Buffalo Bills.
There is no question that Josh Norman has not been shy in giving his opinion and in a recent interview with TMZ Sports, Josh Norman was asked if a Pro Bowl season is coming after reuniting with Sean McDermott.
Norman responded that he believes he will have “an All-World season” but at the end of the day his focus is on winning a championship.
There is certainly precedent and reason for Josh Norman to believe that he can produce at a high level. In 2015, Norman looked like one of the best cornerbacks in the league playing for the Carolina Panthers in Sean McDermott’s defense.
That year he earned both All-Pro and Pro Bowl recognition but didn’t get to play in the Pro Bowl because he was a key part of the Panthers’ defense that went to Super Bowl 50. They eventually lost that game to Peyton Manning and the Denver Broncos.
However, since that year Josh Norman has not looked like the shutdown corner. The past four seasons he played for the Washington Redskins and saw his production decline to the point he was benched towards the end of last season.
Now at 32 years of age, Norman may not have many highly productive years left but he is in a great position in this defense. There is no question that this is a great scheme fit for him and the players he has around him are the most talented since that 2015 Panthers team.
While Norman believes he will be All-World with the Buffalo Bills, he will first need to beat out some other players for the starting job. Entering the season, he will likely be competing with Levi Wallace, E.J. Gaines and seventh round rookie Dane Jackson.
