These are the three biggest trap games on the Buffalo Bills schedule entering the 2020 season.

The NFL schedule has been released and the Buffalo Bills slate is placed fully on the table for all to see. Nothing hidden and no more guessing. When the schedule comes out, many teams circle which prime time games they will be playing in, if any. But what many seem to overlook are the possible trap games that are on the schedule as well. They can come at a bad time and have an effect on the outcome of the season.

There isn’t a true definition of what exactly a trap game is but essentially it is a game where a team could overlook their opponent, either because they are considered a weaker team or there is a more challenging opponent in the coming weeks.

It happens all the time in the NFL. Last season, the Buffalo Bills did not lose any trap games, nor did they really have any. They took care of business each week. But they did come close though. Heading into their bye week last season, they were 4-1 and feeling pretty good about their record. Coming out of the bye, they had the sloppy Miami Dolphins who were sitting at 0-5 coming for a visit. The Bills did win that game 31-21, but it was not without drama. Ryan Fitzpatrick made it difficult for the Bills all game but eventually, the Bills did what they were supposed to do and beat a division foe.

We all must understand that in the NFL, there is no easy win and you have to play the full 60 minutes. Teams can look great on paper, but you don’t just get a win for looking good. You have to play the game and earn your keep.

With all that being said, let’s look at three games that are considered as trap games for the Buffalo Bills for the upcoming 2020 season.
