Week 8 – Home vs New England Patriots

At this point in the rankings I feel like there is potential for the Bills to lose a game. So in the first easiest of hardest games the Buffalo Bills get the luxury of playing at home. The Bills have their first opportunity of 2020 to announce to everyone in the league that the AFC East is theirs and the home crowd will certainly let that message be heard too.

In both matchups in 2019 the Buffalo Bills were painfully close to winning either or both so that will provide extra motivation. In comparing these teams it’s hard to see how the Patriots improved their offense this off-season. While the Patriots always bring a top notch defense I don’t see how the Patriots offense scores enough against a Sean McDermott defense that is always schemed up correctly against a Bill Belichick offense.

Week 15 – Away vs Denver Broncos

Not helping the Buffalo Bills case will be coming off a physical Sunday night affair against the Steelers. The Broncos also made it a priority upgrading their offense signing Melvin Gordon and using their first two draft picks on wide receivers.

On the other side, Von Miller and Jurrell Casey will make life difficult on the Bills offensive line. While the end score looked lopsided, the Broncos were in the game most of the way last year in Buffalo. This time around the Bills will face their franchise quarterback in Drew Lock. There is also a potential this game is played on a Saturday which would make things more difficult for the Bills. Either way, things won’t come easy in the Mile High City.
