Buffalo Bills: Takeaways from Brandon Beane’s comments over NFL Draft
By Jason Mattis

Jake Fromm
While drafting a QB wasn’t on the Bills’ radar the value at that point in the 5th round left the Bills with no other options. Beane thought Fromm was a Day One prospect if he had a bigger arm and was taller. He loves that he is a winner, has all the intangibles, smart, a lover of football, and is a tireless worker. While he has an uphill battle to win a spot on the roster helping his case is the fact Beane mentioned they could carry three quarterbacks.
Personally I don’t see that happening. Good teams with great roster depth don’t keep three quarterbacks. The Bills are certainly in that position. Are you going to keep Fromm over a developing positional player that could see the field sooner given the Buffalo Bills believe they have their franchise signal caller?
Fromm needs to hope he can be allowed into the facility as soon as possible to show the coaches he can earn the backup QB role. Fromm has all the ability and upside to do so if he has the opportunity to participate in a normal offseason program.
