The Buffalo Bills selected wide receiver Gabriel Davis out of the University of Central Florida and the general reaction on Twitter was positive.
The Buffalo Bills once again made a pick that was generally well received on Twitter. The team went out and added A.J. Epenesa in the second round and Zack Moss in the third round yesterday. They followed that up today with a big body wide receiver in Gabriel Davis out of UCF.
One of the themes this class has been players that are physical and will impose their will on the football field. Jon Scott notes this is something that Davis prides himself on.
Gabriel Davis says he never wants one person to bring him down. As big WR he prides himself on physicality. #Bills #NFLDraft

Another interesting note is that with the depth at wide receiver that Gabriel Davis may need to contribute on special teams as a rookie. However, he has the size and speed to be a key part of the Buffalo Bills special team.
Gabriel Davis was one of four receivers worth taking at pick 128 in my opinion. All about the potential he offers. He has the size and speed. Possible special teams contrib early #Bills

Ryan Bass, news anchor in Tampa for CBS, as well as a former UCF alum, gives Gabriel Davis high praise and thinks they got a steal.
An absolute stud. You’re welcome, #BillsMafia https://t.co/j6L8nYVgg4

When Gabriel Davis does line up at wide receiver, he is a player that should be another weapon that can utilize Josh Allen‘s big arm. He had 1,241 receiving yards but had an incredible 17.2 yards per reception average in his final season.

Stefon Diggs - 1,130 REC YD in 2019
John Brown - 1,060 REC YDS in 2019
Gabe Davis - 1,241 REC YDS in 2019 (For #UCF)
Buffalo is your favorite to win the #AFCEast thanks to this pick of Davis.

One thing that Gabriel Davis will need to work on, and the earlier he does this the sooner he can likely be a regular contributor, is he will need to work on getting off the line of scrimmage in press coverage. Once he gets off the line, he is a nightmare for opposing corners and if he can improve here he should end up being a steal.
So anyway the reason I like Davis is he is that big vertical threat that can pay dividends and abuse smaller CB’s. He’s a hands catcher who tracks the ball very well. He’ll need some work getting off the LOS. Excellent double moves and will make a living on levels 2/3 #Bills https://t.co/yPM1qEb4gx

The Buffalo Bills have now added their second wide receiver this offseason, along with Stefon Diggs, and just strengthens what was already an excellent wide receiver group.
