The kicker position is not one that is typically drafted but the Buffalo Bills are in a position to make this selection. The team doesn’t have many holes, especially after the picks on Friday night, and they could use an upgrade at the kicker position.

Stephen Hauschka has been with the Bills the past three seasons however this past seasons his accuracy and leg strength began to slip. This past season he converted only one of five field goal attempts over 50 yards.

Meanwhile, Rodrigo Blankenship out of Georgia is one of the better kickers to come out of college recently. He made 80 of 97 field goal attempts for the Bulldogs and was perfect 200 for 200 on extra point attempts.

Considering the Bills don’t have many needs, it makes sense for them to use one of their last picks on the kicker position and get a starter at this point in the NFL Draft.
