The Buffalo Bills will not trade any picks for veteran players
The rumor mill was started up over the weekend with the news of Leonard Fournette being available for a trade. The move makes perfect sense for what the Buffalo Bills need and it likely wouldn’t cost a high draft pick to get the former first round pick.
However, the Buffalo Bills already traded three picks from this year’s NFL Draft for Stefon Diggs and if they were to move another pick for a veteran it would go against the philosophy the team has had of building through the NFL Draft.
The other reason it doesn’t make sense to trade for Fournette is that this year’s draft class is very deep at running back. The team could get a running back like Zack Moss or A.J. Dillon, two players who could provide that bruising running back style to compliment Devin Singletary.
