Round 6

With pick 189 in this Buffalo Bills mock draft, the Bills select Mykal Walker, a versatile LB out of Fresno State with the ability to rush the passer off the edge as well as stop the run from an off-line position. His college game is very similar to the way Lorenzo Alexander played in his final years with the Bills, showing versatility, leadership and constant competitiveness.

With Milano beginning his contract extension negotiations it would be wise to secure depth in that position group in case negotiations don’t pan out.

As for the 202nd pick the Buffalo Bills select Brandon Jones, a solid safety that fell down the draft boards in this mock draft. It was too difficult to see a scenario where the Bills pass on a safety of this caliber considering how safeties are used in the NFL now as the most versatile defensive position that can play man in the slots or creep into the box to support the run.

With the way Siran Neal played last season, it would be wise to add another safety to the mix to boost competition during training camp.
