Round 5

After letting Zack Moss slip away in round 4, the Bills must select the change of pace running back to pair with Devin Singletary in Round 5. That back is Anthony McFarland, although he may have a similar body build to Singletary, McFarland is a much different runner.

He is much more of a home run hitter with top end speed and acceleration, when given the green space in front of him, he can break away from the pack. This would be a great pairing with Singletary because of Singletary’s ability to get skinny and slippery between the tackles to earn tough yards. McFarland is going to break tackles by accelerating through the gaps and messing up the defenders pursuit angles, these two together in one backfield is a great way to keep defenses on their toes.
