These are our grades for the Buffalo Bills draft picks one year later from the 2019 NFL Draft.

Concluding the 2018 season, the Buffalo Bills had to wave goodbye to one of their most celebrated and beloved players in Kyle Williams.

Williams spent all twelve years of his NFL career with Buffalo and was a vital part of the Bills defensive line, recording 609 tackles and 48.5 career sacks. With his departure, he left an insurmountable hole that would need to be filled for the upcoming season. Lucky for Buffalo, there were four possible players who could fill that role: Alamaba’s Quinnen Williams, Houston’s Ed Oliver,  Clemson’s Christian Wilkins and Clemson’s Dexter Lawerence.

With a plethora of big, physical defensive tackles available in the first round, there was a possibility that the Bills could land their next Kyle Williams, but they were also rumored to be looking to address their tight end position as well.

Additionally, Buffalo has lacked a true ball-catching, difference-making tight end like Rob Gronkowski, who alongside Tom Brady terrorized the AFC East for well over a decade. With players such as the Iowa’s duo in T.J. Hockenson and Noah Fant putting up the numbers they did in the Big Ten conference, if available, they could be to Josh Allen what Keith McKellar was to Jim Kelly during the “K-Gun” offense from 1990 to 1993.

With Kyler Murray being selected by the Arizona Cardinals being an almost foregone conclusion, there certainly will be a franchise-evolving player available for the taking at Buffalo’s ninth overall.

That is exactly what happened.

Within this article is a regrading of every selection the Buffalo Bills made in the 2019 NFL Draft.
