Round 7, 239th overall: Mohamed Barry, LB (Nebraska)

The final pick of the 2020 NFL Draft, the Buffalo Bills select linebacker Mohamed Barry out of Nebraska. The depth at the linebacker position took a bit of a hit this offseason and a player like Mohamed Barry would be a good linebacker to add but one that can also contribute on special teams.

Barry was a key part of the Cornhuskers defense the past two years and over that time combined for 201 total tackles, 13.5 tackles for a loss and three sacks.

The scouting report by Dan Schmelzer at NFLmocks.com describes a linebacker that has a high motor, and can get sideline to sideline but needs to improve in coverage and on-field awareness. These are two things that can improve with coaching and with the physical traits he has, it wouldn’t be surprising to see him compete for a starting job in a few years.

The addition fo Barry, along with Tanner Muse in Round 5, would help address the depth at linebacker and really solidify this position group.
