Round 5, 167th overall: Collin Johnson, WR (Texas)
In the fifth round, the Buffalo Bills add some size at wide receiver with Collin Johnson. The former Texas Longhorn is one of the biggest pass catchers in this class at 6’6″ and 222 pounds.
The Bills did add Stefon Diggs but could still use a receiver, especially down the sidelines and in the red zone, that gives Josh Allen a big target in those tight windows. This is exactly what Johnson would be able to do.
In his scouting report by Lance Zierlein of NFL.com, he is described as a receiver that high points the ball well, is a “desirable zone target with big frame and soft hands” and also uses his size well as a run blocker.
Collin Johnson would not be a bad WR4 within this offense and utilized in key situations over the course of a game.
