If the Buffalo Bills were to re-draft the 2017 NFL Draft, this is the players they would likely select.
The 2017 NFL Draft is one of those drafts that will go down in Buffalo Bills history. It was the first for head coach Sean McDermott however the organization elected to wait until after the NFL Draft to make a switch at general manager. So this would be the final one conducted by Doug Whaley, who would be replaced by Brandon Beane soon after.
The instability within the franchise was one of the reasons the team didn’t address their biggest need which was at quarterback. This was right in the middle of the Tyrod Taylor era and it didn’t seem like the Bills were committed to him long term.
To makes matter worse, the Bills traded out of the 10th overall pick and sent the pick to the Kansas City Chiefs that selected future MVP Patrick Mahomes. McDermott addressed this last year with Matthew Fairburn of The Athletic and said the reason was by being named head coach just three months prior the evaluation time was much shorter.
Entering this NFL Draft, in addition to QB the Bills had a number of needs they had to address and looking at the roster at that time had major holes at cornerback, defensive tackle, wide receiver, linebacker and right tackle.
