Amari Cooper to the Cowboys

The last trade happened during the 2018 NFL season when the Dallas Cowboys sent a first round pick, which became the 27th overall pick, to the Raiders for wide receiver Amari Cooper.

At the time of the trade, Cooper averaged 4.3 receptions, 61.2 receiving yards and .36 touchdowns per game, which Stefon Diggs has higher totals in all three categories.

Cooper is younger at the time of the trade but only had one year left on his contract and he was a free agent this past offseason. The Cowboys eventually were able to reach a long term deal and he signed a five-year, $100 million contract.

The Bills did give up a higher first round pick, by five spots, and did include three other draft picks. However, Diggs has been more productive in the NFL than Cooper at this point and he also is under contract for four more years.

The security to know the Buffalo Bills star wide receiver is under contract for that long and they don’t need to go through what the Cowboys did is worth the later picks.

Verdict: Bills made the better deal
