Round 2 – J.K. Dobbins

The fact that the Buffalo Bills don’t have a first round pick doesn’t hurt them as much at running back. This is one position that has been devalued over the years, which means the Bills could potentially get a really good running back in the second round.

The pick here came down to J.K. Dobbins and Jonathan Taylor, who are both considered to be in the Top 3 at the position alongside D’Andre Swift, who has the potential to be the only running back taken in the first round.

As for Dobbins and Taylor, both are expected to be excellent running backs in the NFL. The reason Dobbins gets the nod here is he is a little better pass catcher that Taylor, with 71 career receptions and 645 receiving yards to the 42 receptions, 407 receiving yards by Taylor.

Dobbins is a player who has shown toughness to wear down opposing defenses and would be the perfect compliment to Singletary. The ability he shows in the passing game, both catching the ball as well as in pass protection, should keep opposing defenses guessing when he enters the game.
