Round 4: Collin Johnson

If the Buffalo Bills want a big wide receiver, there isn’t a bigger pass catcher than former Texas Longhorn Collin Johnson at 6’6″ and 224 pounds.

Johnson had a down year last year due to a hamstring injury, that costed him six games. However, in 2018 he had a respectable stat line with 958 receiving yards and seven touchdowns

The concern for Johnson is whether he has the quickness and acceleration to create space, as noted in the scouting reports on The Draft Network. This is certainly a legitimate concern however while Johnson doesn’t create separation, he has tremendous size to box out defenders and has proven he can win those contested catches.

It will be interesting to see if Johnson can continue this domination against NFL caliber cornerbacks. If Collin Johnson can’t win on the outside, he still would have a place as a split out tight end which would create a mismatch.
