3. Eric Wood

Eric Wood was actually the second first round pick the Buffalo Bills made in 2009, when they selected him 28th overall. This pick was part of a trade with the Philadelphia Eagles than sent Jason Peters back to the Eagles.

Wood, played center at Louisville, but started his career with the Bills at right guard. He played that position for most of the first two years in the league before shifting over to center full-time to start the 2011 season.

Wood would end up playing for the Bills from 2009 to 2017 however injuries was something that plagued his career. He saw his rookie season cut short due to a broken leg and would play only a full 16 game schedule four times.

He was an anchor for the offensive line at center and had to retired early due to a neck injury suffered in 2017. The injury was found at the end of the year physical and it would be determined at that time he wouldn’t be cleared to return to the game.
