Team Need
The offensive tackle position was one that was a bit under the radar as a need for the Buffalo Bills. On the left side is Dion Dawkins, who looks to be on the verge of breaking out after a strong 2019 season.
The right side has a little bit of uncertainty though. The Bills had rookie Cody Ford play a majority of the snaps last year at right tackle with veteran Ty Nsekhe rotating in when healthy. The problem is that Ford did struggle at times and the growing belief is that he is better suited inside at guard. Meanwhile, Nsekhe is going to turn 35 years old this season and hasn’t started more than five games in a season.
The offensive tackle position is one that could use depth and Daryl Williams addresses this need very well. While he is better at right tackle, he can play left if the need arises, and has experience as a starter. The addition of Williams means the Bills may not look as closely at the position now in the NFL Draft.
