Round 7, 239th overall: Rodrigo Blankenship, K (Georgia)

Available players at this pick: Calvin Throckmorton, OT (Oregon), Dezmon Patmon, WR (Washington State)

The Buffalo Bills should bring in competition at the kicker position as Stephen Haushka has steadily declined over the past few years. He is struggling with longer field goal attempts and this past season made only one of five over 50 yards.

If the Bills do want to make a switch, there is no better replacement than Rodrigo Blankenship, who has been one of the top collegiate kickers the past few seasons. This past year he was named first-team All-SEC and won the Lou Garza award, which is given to the top placekicker in college football.

If the NFL Draft plays out this way, the Bills will end up with one of the top rookie running backs, a defensive end that can play a role as a rookie with an eye towards a starting job in his second season, a big wide receiver, depth at linebacker and cornerback and a potential starting kicker. This would address a number of needs and really solidify their roster.
