Buffalo Bills: Updated mock draft starting with running back
This is a mock draft for the Buffalo Bills if they use their second round pick on running back.
At the start of the offseason, the Buffalo Bills had nine draft picks however with four picks, three this year, going to the Minnesota Vikings it certainly changes up the strategy. The deal for Stefon Diggs cost Buffalo their first round pick (22nd overall), a fifth round pick and sixth round pick this year, plus an additional fourth round pick in 2021.
This means the Buffalo Bills, as it stands right now, will not be on the clock until Day 2 when they have their second round pick at 54th overall. The good news for this team is that there isn’t many glaring needs.
General manager Brandon Beane will likely be going into the NFL Draft looking for a pass rusher or running back with their first pick. The team does have options at both with T.J. Yeldon a suitable veteran to pair with Devin Singletary and the Bills did sign veteran Mario Addison in free agency. However, neither player warrants the team from not addressing those positions.
For this mock draft, based on how the board fell using The Draft Network’s Mock Draft Machine the Bills start out by selecting one of the premier running backs in this class.
