Steve Tasker

Any former player list should include arguably one of the best to place special teams in NFL history. Steve Tasker joined the Bills in 1986 and played 12 seasons with the teams, and made the Pro Bowl, as well as named to the first-team All-Pro, in seven of those years.

The Bills do have Andre Roberts and made improvements to special teams with the signings of Tyler Matakevich and Taiwan Jones. However, Tasker could do it all on special teams and was not only their primary return man but also was an excellent gunner on punt coverage and kickoff teams.

Every successful NFL team has that one player that does all those little things very well. They usually don’t show up on the stat sheet but they make a huge difference during games and over the course of the season. That was Steve Tasker and he would be the perfect addition for this Buffalo Bills team.
