Buffalo Bills: Grading the signing of Quinton Jefferson
The Buffalo Bills signed Quinton Jefferson as a free agent to help bolster their defensive line. Find out our grade for the addition this offseason.
The Buffalo Bills were going to make some changes along the defensive line this offseason. The emergence of Jordan Phillips made it likely that he would be leaving Buffalo for a nice payday, which he eventually got with the Arizona Cardinals.
The front office was then going to be tasked with finding a way to replace the production from the player that led the team in sacks this past season.
One of those players expected to help this upcoming season is Quinton Jefferson. The former fifth round pick by the Seattle Seahawks in the 2016 NFL Draft has been a key rotational player along their defensive line the past two seasons. He started 24 games the past two seasons and had 6.5 sacks over that stretch.
When evaluating the Buffalo Bills’ signings we look at three key areas: Team Need, Team Fit, Contract and compile those grades for a final grade. This is how we grade the Bills addition of Quinton Jefferson.
