Buffalo Bills: Madden team overall ratings through the years

Madden 2003

Although the prior year the Bills’ only won 3 games, the Bills’ still had a team rating of 76 for Madden 2003. The team record improved to 8-8 this season with three players who’s overall rating were over 90. Left guard Ruben Brown at 96, fullback Larry Centers at 93, and middle linebacker London Fletcher at 90. Although the only Pro Bowler that year from these three was Ruben Brown. This was also Drew Bledsoe’s first season with the Bills’ after being traded from New England. Bledsoe who had a rating of 83 was another Pro Bowler for the Bills that season.

Madden 2004

The team’s rating went up to an 85 after the Bills’ 8-8 performance. Ruben Brown and Drew Bledsoe both had rating increases after their Pro Bowl seasons with their ratings increasing to 97 and 91 respectively. This is the Bills’ highest rating for the remaining of the list featuring six players who have ratings over 90. In addition to Brown and Bledsoe, defensive tackle Pat Williams, outside linebacker Takeo Spikes, punter Brian Moorman, wide receiver Eric Moulds all cracked that mark. Brown and Spikes were the only Bills’ to make the Pro Bowl during the 2003 season with the Bills finishing the season with a 6-10 record.

Madden 2005

Two players were tied for the highest rating for the Bills in Madden 2005. Takeo Spikes and strong safety Lawyer Milloy both were rated with a 96 overall. This was Mike Mularkey’s first season as the head coach for the Buffalo Bills. The team record sightly decreased in this year’s game to a 82. This was also the year the Bills drafted Lee Evans and J.P. Losman in the first round. Evans’ overall rating was a 79 but having an impressive speed rating of 94, which lead the entire team just ahead of Eric Moulds with a 93. J.P. Losman had a rating of 75 his rookie year. The Bills’ improved from last season finishing the season with a 9-7 record.
