Madden 2001

The Bills’ overall went down to a 74 in Madden 2001. Looking back at the Bills roster I see names such as Shawn Bryson, Avion Black, and Bryce Fisher just to name a few. This was also the first year that a player was featured on the cover of Madden instead of John Madden. Tennessee Titans’ running back Eddie George is featured on the cover of the game. The Bills ended this season 8-8 which was 4th in the AFC East.

Madden 2002

The Bills in Madden 2002 had an overall rating of 77 with their top ranked player being LOLB Sam Cowart who’s overall ranking was 94 after making the Pro Bowl the prior year. The team’s record that the season was based on was the worse record the Bills’ had since 1985, finishing the season 3-13. During the Bills’ season opener Cowart suffered a season ending Achilles tendon tear.
