Final Grade

It is hard to find a negative with the Buffalo Bills deal for wide receiver Stefon Diggs. The team gets a young wide receiver, at only 26 years of age, who is under contract for four more years at a reasonable salary and now have a player who contributes right away unlike a rookie wide receiver.

The addition of Diggs should fit in seamlessly into this offense and gives Josh Allen to really make a big jump from Year 2 to Year 3. This is not to say that John Brown and Cole Beasley weren’t good weapons but a wide receiver like Stefon Diggs is hard to defend. By having Diggs in this offense, should actually make life easier for Brown and Beasley.

The first round pick certainly appears to be costly but the Bills were picking at the back of the first round and if they took a wide receiver at 22nd overall, they would hope they could produce like Diggs down the road. However, now they get a player in his prime that will be an instant boost for this offense.

Next. Is the 2020 season make or break for Josh Allen?. dark

This is a huge boost for the Bills offense and should push this group into the top half of the NFL.
