Round 6 (Pick 188): Dane Jackson, CB (Pittsburgh)

The Bills added Josh Norman at cornerback and brought back Levi Wallace but could use some more depth at the cornerback position. A player like Dane Jackson at this point in the Draft makes sense for what the Bills need.

Jackson was a three year starter for Pittsburgh and in four seasons had 149 total tackles, 1.5 sacks, four interceptions, four forced fumbles and two defensive touchdowns.

The cornerback position is not one that is necessarily emphasized within Sean McDermott’s system. A player like Dane Jackson with decent size at 6’0″ and 180 pounds, who has plenty of experience at the collegiate level, is someone who could be coached up and eventually challenge for the starting job.
