Daryl Williams
While the Buffalo Bills have reported interest in former Carolina Panthers guard Greg Van Roten, they should be looking at his teammate, tackle Daryl Williams.
The depth on the interior is solid with Quinton Spain, Jon Feliciano, Spencer Long and even Cody Ford if the need arose. However, the depth at offensive tackle isn’t as strong and this is why a player like Daryl Williams makes sense.
Williams was a fourth round pick by the Panthers in 2015 and spent the past four seasons with the team. He looked to be an ascending tackle in the league but missed almost the entire 2018 season due to a knee injury.
He returned to the Panthers on a one-year deal and ended up starting 12 games for the Panthers. However, and this is why the Bills should be interested in him, he started at right tackle, right guard and left guard last year. This experience, and versatility, would be more valuable as he can fill the depth need at almost every position except center.
