The Buffalo Bills made a key move Thursday by bringing back Quinton Spain and this is our grade for the move.

While free agency doesn’t officially kick off until next week, the Buffalo Bills front office has been busy making moves. It started on Monday with the agreed upon deal with Josh Norman, followed up by re-signing Levi Wallace and Robert Foster along with picking up Spencer Long’s option.

However, the move that could have the biggest impact was the Bills were able to re-sign starting guard Quinton Spain. It was reported by multiple people, including NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, who tweeted that Spain had signed a three-year deal worth $15 million.

The signing of Quinton Spain came a little later in free agency and there was some questions how he might fit within this offensive line. The Bills’ front office focused heavily on the offensive line and brought in numerous options. The team eventually ended up starting the year with four new starters and Spain was one of them.

He went on to have a really great season for the Bills and was one of nine guards to not allow a sack during the regular season, according to Pro Football Focus.

When grading the moves by the Bills we look at three key areas: Team Fit, Team Need, and Contract to create a final grade. This is how we grade the Bills’ re-signing Quinton Spain.
